Meme time!
Ganked from

Name a character that you know I write or have written, and I'll tell you:
a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character. This part may be a little tricky with SOME of the characters, but I'll do my best.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
A list of the characters can be found here. I have written others, but not as consistently.

Heh. First there was Kas. Who managed to intrigue me between Harry and Dami. Then I started (back in September) reading Storm Front, and got through the first chapters. And Karrin appealed to me as a writer, because, well. 1. She wasn't the character that is described in lovely, sex-appealing terms, but still a lot of respect and professionalism is shown; 2. I knew that by the number of books published at the time, despite working closely with Dresden, they weren't a couple. I can't really fully explain why I found that so appealing, but I do - the fact that two people click together, are even attracted, doesn't necessarily mean they need to get married and live happily ever after. I think it's a challenge, because - they fit, but even though I'm hopeful, I am not sure they ever will belong. And that's interesting.
Then I didn't read the rest of SF till January. Um, yeah. My mistake. By then, Connie had started, and other Dresdenverse muses (Maggie and Thomas, I think) were popping up.
I did go back to finishing the book. And by the time Harry complained, though his concussion, 'But mom, it's not even dark yet!' I knew I wanted her. Because Murphy is good people. Not simple, not pure, but good. In... many senses of the word.
/ramble. ;)
In brief, Karrin was possibly the first muse I picked up after thinking it through for a while.
b. One of his/her best traits.
Um. She's got big hard round balls. And that's a quote, from memory, from Speed.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
She's stubborn as hell, and her anxiety about getting into a relationship leads her to some... very odd choices in men. Just saying. (She still likes him though - Kincaid, I mean...)
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
Her voice is distinct, and in that sense, it's easy to write her. On the other hand, I lack information about her spheres of competence and social circle, like US police departments and such, and that adds a certain... zing of a challenge. :)
e. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
I didn't write it. But...
"Small. But fierce." That covers it :D
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.
Hmm. Settle where she is in some of Harry's verses. Write up those request fics (NO I haven't forgotten!). Oy, I need to write her prompt for
bah, I need to check my comms and see where I need to post. *sighs*
Back to Karrin. There are quite a few muses to explore where she stands with, with. Like Kincaid. Elaine. Heh, Harry, because Small Favor left things a bit akimbo. And I like to know who a muse of mine is, and how she relates to the world around her before I push her into situations that she may find challenging. Or tragic.
She's a very strong muse, and a really interesting influence in the menagerie in my head. I most certainly intend to keep her for a long time!

Also: Anna smelled a conspiracy the second the Feds showed up and the one bitch tried to shoot Murphy.
