INSTRUCTIONS
01. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me" or something similar or something completely unrelated. I'm not picky.
02. I respond by asking you five questions of a totally random nature.
03. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

If you couldn't be a police officer, what could you see yourself doing?
Er... Aikido instructor? I'm not sure, what kind of question is this anyway, Dresden?
Let's say someone offers you the ability to practition. Full blown magic user, no strings attached. Would you accept the offer and why or why not?
It would change whom I'm answerable to, wouldn't it? I don't know. It would mean I can protect those who need protection better. But it would mean other loyalties, other responsibilities...
It's a moot point anyway, isn't it? I mean, if there was any chance of that, it'd have shown up already, right? Right?
Oh hell. Yes, I probably would accept.Just to show you how it's done. ... *pause, narrows her eyes suspiciously, she's learned SOME stuff* Well, depending on the price.
I know you considered me a suspect for the Sells' storm killings and you knew I was capable of it, but did you honestly think it was me or were you just upset?
I knew you were holding up on me. It could have been that. I couldn't risk letting you go if it happened to be you. It's work. Can't let any personal feelings get in the way of it. Either way.
Do you have any idea how much it hurt me to be your suspect?
Do you have any idea how much it hurt me to be shut out of my only source of information? To feel helpless against something like that? Fear breeds from ignorance, and you. left. me. in. the. dark.
I can't leave a danger I know of prowling around and do NOTHING.
I hate not knowing. I hate being that afraid.
If I had asked you not to go to Hawaii, what would you have said?
Well you told me I shouldn't go, and you told me I was being stupid...
But if you'd asked, it'd have been different maybe...
Maybe. You'd still have had to answer me why. Your answer as it was - didn't measure up.

1. If yours and Harry's relationship ever were at the same place at the same time would you consider it?
*eyebrow arches* Well...wouldn't you? I think so. I think the chances for that pass away with each that slips by though.
2. [Meta unless Karrin knows what Thomas does] Knowing what Thomas is, would you let him work on your hair?
*meta* Actually, yes. But only if he skips the foreign accent while I'm around.
I've trusted him with my life before.
3. Hindsight 20/20 would you still marry your exes knowing what you know now?
Yes. No. I don't know.
... Yes. If I had taken different paths, I'd not be where I am now. I may be better off, but I may have been a weaker person. I might have been less than I am.
4. Do you ever regret getting assigned to SI?
Oh no, not at all. Considering how much worse things would have been if I weren't here, definitely no regrets about that. Besides, that beanpole needs some muscle to watch his back.
5. If you weren't a cop, what profession would you have liked to try?
... That question got me mixed up when Harry asked it, and I'm still not clear on why I wouldn't have been ... but oh well. Maybe full-time Aikido instructor. I don't think there was much chance of me considering anything else seriously though.

1. You ever think about just leaving Chicago and going somewhere else?
Well I did go to Hawaii... but leaving permanently? No. As in, if the thought has crossed my mind, and has been hinted to me, and suggested to me, and begged of me... just the answer is no. It's where I stand.
2. What was your first impression of Harry?
It's hard to get a good first impression while in the process of jumping on the back of a troll, but... 'beanpole'.
3. What was your first impression of me?
I guess the bits where your father had me distracted and you were chained to the floor don't count? Besides the fact that I'd already heard plenty about you too?
... maybe 'Too handsome to be true.'
4. Haven't you ever just wanted to -- ah -- pounce Harry?
Oh, I've pounced him plenty of times, on aikido practice. *locked* Maybe. I think it would scare the hell out of him if I actually did it though. */locked*
5. Looking for a new hairstylist?
*headtilt* You've got someone in mind? D'you think I need a change in style?

1. What do you think of my son, Harry?
The short answer is, 'He is a great partner, terrible driver, amazing at what he does, and sometimes needs mothering.'
Let me know if you want the long answer, I think that would need a full post on its own.
He fights a huge fight, and is on the side of good, even when he doubts himself sometimes. I have trusted him with my life, and will do again.
Just keep him away from marbles.
2. How do you feel you fit into our world?
*headtilt* The world of magic? I try to hold up my own. Matter can sometimes seriosly hinder magic, if used the right way. I need... knowledge, a lot of it, to have a chance to survive, but the world of magic is interfering too much into the everyday life of the rest of us for me to step away.
Besides, Harry sometimes need muscle to back him up.
3. Would you un-know what you know if you could?
No. Nothing of it. I've discovered that especially around your sons, information may come in handy, even such that I really wish I could have forgotten entirely. Anything to stop the ... things we're fighting.
4. What weapon or defense do you wish you had?
Hmm. A Vorpal sword? Chainsaws work well in certain occasions.
I think it would depend on what we're up against, and most definitely where. I doubt there is a ... universal ONE weapon or defense, an object, that would work in any situation.
I'd like to be able to keep my wits about me, my mind sharp, and my partners safe so they can return the favor. People are more important than objects. (One learns that when one sees Harry Dresden bring down big scary people and monsters with Ken dolls enough times.)
5. What do you think of my son, Thomas?
That he's very good at whatever he chooses to do. And that choosing to keep his demon under control, and to fight against the things that do harm, he deserves a lot more respect than he gets.
