OOC: Questions

OK... There are enough of us Dresden!fans playing around with one or more muses each, so...

We're currently doing our RP (mostly) on sixwordstories, and muse journals.

^_^ Thank you. I included moderated/free membership because on the HP comms we ran into some trouble and had to switch; and I'm sure we've all come across muns who turn RP into a chore, rather than fun. If we settle on moderated, there'll be at least three mods, just in case.

And yup, prompts are fun, at least as a take-off point!

I liked the two forum system you set up with the HP muses, one for longer fic style prompts and one for quicker moving semi-lit style promps (a la sws).

Hey, Thomas!mun here. I said 'another format' because really? Not so much in need of another prompt-posting/writing community but a common sandbax for making up RP-ness with other Dresdenverse people? That would be just fine.

*nodnod* I don't know if you did check out hp_random - it's generally just a place where we can dump fics and RP set up with longer blocks of text. There are prompts, but they are more like jumping-off points, and a lot of people don't even write them, but just post what fiction comes. Don't know if that kind of thing seems promising to you.

Also, as semi_auto_magic's mun suggested - how about two comms, one for longer RP, and one that's pretty much like sixwordstories - six word stories, and mostly asterisks RP?

I don't mind if prompts are optional, I certainly don't mind having more writing inspiration, it's just that mind-the-muse is about all the required prompts I can handle right now so if the prompts weren't completely optional, I probably wouldn't be able to join in.

I don't mind having two comms though I guess I was figuring on continuing to post the short stuff in sws. :)

Oh dear! Completely optional! More like things for the muse to possibly be inspired by... I am on a zillion participation-requirement comms, and I don't want more either. (agh, I'm still waiting for the acceptance e-mail from mind-the-muse for Murphy...) But sometimes things strike a cord.

*nods* oh yes, but I meant - if you wanted a six-worder that you'd rather stay IN the fandom, rather than be spread to other people. (haha with HP, we were actually getting on the nerves of people there, which isn't the case here). But I know semi_auto_magic enjoys 'light' or non-detailed asterisks RP, and such a comm is perfect for that, and also random crack breaks. (ahem, including lolcat macros threads... >.>)

I'll think on it and let discussion happen a bit more (we're likely to get a Morgan soon too, I think).

Don't take my opinions to be gospel either, I can go with the flow on pretty much anything, I'm not stuck on something in particular, trust me. :)
